Get Prepared.

After you make an appointment, and before your first session, you will be given access to our online portal where you will complete all the needed paperwork online prior to coming in. This is an important step as it’s my first opportunity to learn about your history & background.  

 

What to Expect: Next Steps

Your First Session.

This first session when we meet face to face or online is what we call a “biopsychosocial”. It’s the chance for me to gain an even richer understanding of the issues that have brought you to therapy, as well as your chance to see how it feels to work together, and whether my style will be a good fit for you. You can expect this first session and all others to last about 60 minutes.

The Process of Therapy.

In our work together, you can expect empathy, compassion, observations, feedback, and guidance, but never will there come a point where I will “fix it” or tell you explicitly what to do. Rather, I believe in empowering you to become the hero in your own life. Therapy is a collaborative approach by design, which takes it’s cues from the work that you put in, and what you bring to each session.

We all face countless concerns throughout our lives and may feel anxious, angry, lonely, or depressed. Everything is Confidential, Right?

The therapeutic relationship is protected by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). This means that your status as a client, as well as all privately discussed matters will be kept confidential, with a few understandable limits that we will discuss together.

How Long Does Therapy Last?

Each session lasts approximately 60 minutes. The length of time that you will be receiving services, however, does vary depending on the concerns you would like to address, and your willingness to speak about and process difficult life experiences.

 

How Much Will It Cost?

I am currently accepting the following insurance providers: Blue Cross Blue Shield, Ambetter, and Cigna.

You additionally have the option for Self-Pay which costs $170 per session.
